INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's golf team opens its season at the Battle at Hilton Head in Hilton Head, S.C. on Monday Feb. 16, an event the team competed at during theÂ
2025 spring season.Â
The Greyhounds are coming off a strong fall season where the team claimed a trio of top three finishes at theÂ
UIndy Fall Invitational, theÂ
William Beall Fall Classic, and theÂ
Intercollegiate at Nemacolin.Â
Head coach Andy Serketich, in his second year with the program, will look to build on a good fall season as a team, due to the likes of
Ava Ray,
Caroline Whallon,
Macey Brown, and
Paige Giovenco who combined for 10 top-10 finishes so far this season. Ray has the team's best indiviudal finish of the fall season with a share of first place at the UIndy Fall Invitational in September, while Giovenco is right behind her with two runner-up finishes at the
Folds of Honor Challenge and the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin.
Brown and Whallon both earned All-Tournament recognition at the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin, and Brown also earned two more top-8 finishes with her lowest finish of the fall swing being a 39th place finish at the Folds of Honor Challenge which featured five
2025 DII National Championship teams.
Lucile Ceolin andÂ
Valentina Cortez have also added plenty of young talent to this senior led team, with both finishing inside the top 20 in at least one event this season.Â
This spring the Greyhounds are scheduled to compete in four team events before postseason play begins at the GLVC Championships on April 16 in Peru, IN, followed by the NCAA DII East Regional in Findlay, OH, and the NCAA DII Championships in West Palm Beach, FL.Â
