Hounds Dominate Hawks on Senior Day

INDIANAPOLIS— The University of Indianapolis men's lacrosse team had no problem securing the Senior Day win at Key Stadium, defeating the Quincy Hawks 22-3 in the final home match of the 2026 season. 

Eleven found the back of the net for the Greyhounds, led by Amadeo Miller, who had six goals in the contest to tie for the third-most by a Greyhound in a single game. Tanner Hahm provided seven assists for the Crimson and Grey, tying for the third-most assists in a single game for the program. Mitchell Carik and TJ Reddington both scooped up a game-high seven ground balls. 

INS & OUTS
Senior Nick Luitweiler put the Hounds on the board first, finding the back of the net just three minutes into the contest, followed by quick goals from Hahm, Miller, and Carik to give UIndy an early 4-0 lead. 

 The Hawks would get their first goal at 8:57 to cut the Hounds' lead to three. The Hounds came back harder, going on a 9-0 run for nearly 17 minutes to finish out the first half with a 13-2 lead. 

Tyler Bernarduci found his second goal of the season to open the second half, scoring off an assist from Miller. Mason Rockley extended his squad's lead on a man-up opportunity off the Hahm assist. UIndy went 3-for-3 from the dot in the third frame to help hold Quincy scoreless in the period.

UIndy did not let its foot off the gas, opening the final quarter with three consecutive goals from Miller, before Mike Rettberg netted two back-to-back goals of his own to put the Hounds up 20-2.

Mason Luoma scored the third and final goal for Quincy with seven minutes remaining in the contest. Dylan Silva responded with first goal of the season to return the Hounds to an 18-goal lead. Ryan Carver scored the contest's final goal on a man-up opportunity courtesy of a Dalton Yates assist. 

INSIDE THE BOX
-Matt Pereira's three goals against Quincy pushes him to 34 on the season and he is now tied for 10th in the Greyhound record book in single-season goals. 
-15 of UIndy's 22 goals were assisted, to tie for the second-most assists in a game by a Greyhound squad. 
-The FOGO squad of Charlie Johnson, Jonah Koehler and TJ Reddington went 25-for-28 from the dot in the season's final game at Key. 
-Charlie Johnson recorded his first save in a Greyhound uniform.
