LEXINGTON, Ky. —The University of Indianapolis appeared in the AVCA-Taraflex DII national poll for the second week in a row, moving up to No. 21, it was announced Monday.
The Hounds moved up three spots following a 2-0 start to conference play, defeating UIS and Quincy in the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center last weekend.
The Hounds rank seventh nationally in win-loss percentage with a 12-1 record, while sitting ninth in assists per set (13.27) and kills per set (14.20).
Senior Macy Bruton recently earned her second GLVC Defensive Player of the Week Award, averaging 5.33 digs per set, with a reception percentage of .948 through the Hounds' 13 matches. Junior outside hitter Maddie Lynch leads the UIndy offense, averaging 4.15 kills per set, hitting from a .335 clip.
Ferris State extends its streak atop the national poll to three weeks, while Grand Valley also represents the Midwest Region, moving up to No. 16.
