2008: Played 10 games with seven starts at wide receiver…caught 24 balls for 297 yards, both good for third on the team…hauled in five passes for 59 yards versus Ferris State (10/11)…also caught five balls versus Ashland for a season-high 97 yards, including a 58-yard reception for his lone TD of the year…became the team’s primary punter the final five games of the season, amassing 667 yards on 18 punts (37.1 yards per)…got off a season-long 52-yard boot against FSU to pin the Bulldogs within the 10.
2007: Played in all 11 games, starting the last 10 contests ... led the team in receiving touchdowns, hauling in nine scores ... had three different games with two receiving TDs ... totaled 37 catches for 455 yards and 9 TD ... had a career-long 68-yard catch vs. Hillsdale ... snared the game-winning score in that game, by grabbing a seven-yard score with just 13 seconds remaining ... had a pair of long TD scores in the win at Mercyhurst, scoring from 38 and 47 yards out ... compiled 126 receiving yards on six catches in that game, both career bests ... had at least one catch in all 11 games ... was the team's punter for the second straight season ... had 32 punts for 1,207 yards, a 37.7 average ... had a season-long 50-yarder in his only attempt in the win at Saint Joseph's (9/22) ... 13 of his punts were downed inside the 20-yardline.
2006: Plainfield native handled punting responsibilities as a freshman … angled eight punts inside the twenty … managed four punts of 50 or more yards, including a season-long 54-yard boot versus St. Joseph's (9/23) … also assigned part-time kickoff duty, with a 48.7 yard average in nine kicks … caught first collegiate pass against Northwood, good for 14 yards and a first down (11/11).
Personal: Physical Education major … born 1/27/88 … son of Todd and Rosie Fakes, both of whom were UIndy student-athletes, Todd in football and wrestling and Rosie in volleyball.
High School: Earned 10 varsirty letters in football (3), basketball (3), track (3) and baseball (1) … twice named All-State, All-Conference and Team MVP as a gridder … scored a 99-yard touchdown as a senior … Plainfield High School record holder in career receptions and receiving yards.
