KENOSHA, Wis.- By holding its opponent to a meager .087 team hitting percentage, the 25th-ranked University of Indianapolis volleyball team defeated Wisconsin-Parkside in three sets (25-21, 25-18, 25-17) at DeSimone Gymnasium Friday night. The victory gives UIndy its 25th of the year while also snapping a season-high-tying three-match winning streak by the Rangers.
Junior
Jessica Breeden's effort helped up the Greyhounds' record to 25-7 and 12-3 in the conference. She continued her hot play with a match-high 13 kills and a lofty .600 hitting percentage. The 5-10 middle has hit .551 and registered 18 blocks over the past four matches.
Sophomore
Cheneta Morrison added 12 kills, five digs, and two blocks. Senior
Beth Robbins finished with 36 assists and sophomore
Lyndsay Callahan had six kills and a team-best nine digs.
After downing the Rangers (10-18, 2-11), UIndy heads to Romeoville, Ill. for a big meeting versus 21st-ranked Lewis University. The Flyers lead the GLVC East and have won four straight contests against the Hounds, including a four-set match at RLC back on Oct. 14.
