KENOSHA, Wis. -- Wisconsin-Parkside proved too much for the Indianapolis Greyhound's men's soccer squad as the visiting Hounds dropped a 6-2 decision to the host Rangers on Friday evening.

Parkside (9-2-1, 5-2-1 GLVC) opened the game with an offensive assault that resulted in a 2-0 advantage in the game's first seven minutes in a physical contest that saw five players booked for yellow cards.

Jon Bebeau scored the first goal for the host Rangers on an assist by Jose Alfaro in the 5th minute.  Just under three minutes later, Johnson Thao put his owned rebound into the back of the Greyhound net to double the Parkside lead.

Indianapolis cut the lead in half just under a minute later when senior Cory Barber headed home his second goal of the season in the 8th minute.

In the 22nd minute, the Rangers regained their two goal advantage after Niklas Boedts collected a loose ball inside the box and finished it for his ninth goal of the year.

The score remained 3-1 at the end of the first half in favor of Parkside who outshot the Greyhounds 7-6 in the first 45 minutes.

Cyril Simmons increased the Ranger lead to 4-1 in the 57th minute on assists by Boedts and Bebeau.

Indianapolis would get their second goal of the match in the 68th after a free kick from Max Marsh was true for his second tally of his freshman campaign.

The Rangers answered with a pair of goals to close out the contest as Boedts and Bebeau netted their second goals of the game for UWP in the 70th and 84th minutes making the final score 6-2.

The loss dropped UIndy to 4-4-2 on the season and 2-4-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference matches.  The Hounds will return to the pitch on Sunday when they take on Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill.  Kick-off is slated for 3:30 PM.
