Volleyball hangs on for win at Kentucky Wesleyan

- The No. 21 University of Indianapolis volleyball team hung on to defeat Kentucky Wesleyan, 3-1 (25-23, 25-27, 25-17, 26-24), on Friday night.

The Greyhounds (15-5, 11-1 GLVC) remain in first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with their 24th consecutive victory over the Panthers (6-18, 0-12 GLVC).

Kristina Kerrigan led all players with 22 kills and hit .386, while Kourtney Crawford had a season-high 14 kills and five digs. Courtney Anglemyer hit .417 with 11 kills and three blocks and Kenzie Bruggeman came off the bench to add seven kills and six digs.

Meghan Binkerd had her fourth double-double of the season with 49 assists and 11 digs to help UIndy hit .297 as a team and limit KWC to .144 attacking. Libero Amy Oldenburg led the defensive effort with a career-high 27 digs.

UIndy continues its road trip on Saturday at 4 p.m. against Southern Indiana (15-7, 10-2 GLVC), which defeated St. Joseph's, 3-0, on Friday night to remain just one match behind the Greyhounds in the standings.
