INDIANAPOLIS- Junior Nickole Gonser scored 15 points to lead three Greyhounds in double figures in a 71-59 win against visiting Bellarmine Thursday night at Nicoson Hall.  The Greyhounds (4-2, 1-0 GLVC) have won each of their last four contests, all against in-region opponents.

Despite closing the first half on a 13-4 run, the Knights trailed by three at intermission.  Bellarmine (4-2, 0-1) out-shot and out-rebounded UIndy in the first 20 minutes, but the Hounds forced 12 turnovers to help earn a 41-38 edge at the break.

In all, UIndy forced a season-high 23 turnovers on the night, as the hustling Hounds seemed to come up with every loose ball.  Four Greyhounds had at least two steals, with Gonser accounting for five.

The Knights scored the first bucket of the second to creep within one, but senior Megan Gardner drained three straight 3-pointers to build the lead back to double digits.

Bellarmine battled back within five at the eight-minute mark until an 8-0 surge from the Hounds proved to be the knockout blow.  UIndy ultimately led wire-to-wire, and dating back to last game, the Greyhounds have not trailed in the last 76 minutes of play.

Junior Kristin Turner, who came into the night leading the GLVC in assists, dropped six dimes to go with 13 points and three steals.  Gardner finished with 12 points - all on threes.

UIndy remains in town to face archrival Northern Kentucky Saturday, Dec. 3.  Tip time from Nicoson Hall is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
