Greyhounds in top 10 for eighth week in a row

AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25

LEXINGTON, Ky. –
The University of Indianapolis volleyball team is 10th in NCAA Division II in the seventh regular season edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Coaches Top 25, which also marks the eighth week in a row in the top 10 this season. The Greyhounds (19-3, 9-0 GLVC) are the only team from the Midwest Region currently ranked in the top 25.

The Greyhounds defeated No. 21 Ferris State and Wayne State, which was receiving votes, over the weekend at the Mizuno GLVC/GLIAC Crossover in Aurora, Ill.

On Wednesday, UIndy faces the team with the most wins in the region, Cedarville (21-4), at Ruth Lilly Center to start a three-match home week. The Greyhounds will then play host to Drury (11-12, 3-6 GLVC) on Saturday and then a showdown between division leaders on Sunday against Missouri S&T (13-8, 9-0 GLVC). Sunday is also the annual "Pink Match" to raise awareness of breast cancer and breast cancer research.

The Greyhounds have been ranked 17 weeks in a row and 44 of the last 46 weeks of the poll. This is the 17th week all-time that UIndy has been ranked in the top 10 and the eighth week in a row.
