INDIANAPOLIS - The 2012 Greyhound football team held its annual year-end awards banquet Sunday afternoon. Special positional awards were presented to players by their respective position coach, along with the William A. Bright Most Valuable Players and the Kelso M. Reid Mental Attitude Award.
Head Coach
Bob Bartolomeo played Master of Ceremonies for the more than 300 people in attendance. The third-head man took the opportunity to thank his support staff, as well as honor his 15 seniors -- all of which are on track to graduate.

Award winners included senior
Tyler Peterman, who was honored with the team's Mental Attitude Award. The team captain started all 13 games at strong-side linebacker, compiling a career-high 94 tackles. He was also named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 1.
Meanwhile, the team's three Most Valuable Player Awards went to senior
Mar'quone Edmonds, senior
Max Davis and sophomore
Scott Miller. Edmonds was voted by his teammates as the offensive MVP, while Davis secured the defensive equivalent and Miller the special teams nod.
Edmonds recorded school records for receptions (99), receiving yards (1,335) and receiving touchdowns (17). He was named the GLVC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Super Region Four.
On the other side of the ball, Davis was a unanimous first team all-league selection at linebacker after amassing a team-high 128 total tackles. The Cathedral High School grad finished his career ranked fifth on the school's career tackles list while becoming just the sixth-ever Greyhound with three consecutive 100-tackle seasons.
Scott Miller led the special teams as the team's place kicker and kickoff man. Also a product of Cathedral, Miller made his first 48 extra points attempts this year on the way to a school-record total of 58 in the category.
