2012 Daktronics, Inc. All-America Teams
WAYNE, Neb. – No. 19 UIndy volleyball senior outside hitter
Kristina Kerrigan was named to the 2012 Daktronics, Inc., All-America First Team, while sophomore setter
Meghan Binkerd was an honorable mention selection.
Kerrigan was the top vote getter at outside hitter while helping UIndy to its second trip to the Elite Eight since 2009. She averaged 4.60 kills and 3.24 digs per set this season for the 30-7 Greyhounds, ranking fourth in NCAA Division II in kills per set and seventh in points per set nationally at 4.96. Kerrigan was named the Daktronics Midwest Region and
Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year this season.
Binkerd is eighth in the country in assists with 11.62 per set to help the Greyhounds rank 10th in kills per set (14.45) and 25th in attack percentage (.245). Binkerd was AVCA and Daktronics First Team All-Midwest Region and First Team All-GLVC after being the 2011 AVCA Midwest Region and GLVC Freshman of the Year.
