Butler wins crosstown tennis match-up

The UIndy women's tennis team welcomed its Circle City neighbor Butler to the UIndy Tennis Center on Saturday, falling 9-0.

The Greyhounds (1-1) were competitive with matches at No. 3 and No. 4 singles going to a super tiebreaker against the Bulldogs (2-3).

Freshman Kelsey Matthews fought back from dropping the first set before falling 6-3, 1-6, (10-7), while senior Meghan Teunis also overcame a first set setback before losing 6-4, 5-7, (10-5) at the fourth position.

The Greyhounds return to the UIndy Tennis Center next Saturday at 1 p.m. to play another Indianapolis neighbor, Marian.
