The Greyhounds (15-2, 7-0 GLVC) remain undefeated in the Great Lakes Valley Conference after Crawford added 10 kills on a .318 attack percentage and four assists, while Kristina Kerrigan notched her 10th double-double of the season with 15 kills, 12 digs and three blocks. The attack was a diverse team effort with Brittany Anglemyer hitting .333 with nine kills and Kenzie Bruggeman hit .429 with eight kills and 14 digs.

Setter Meghan Binkerd had 40 assists and nine digs, while Amy Oldenburg led all players with 22 digs as the Hounds held the Screaming Eagles (7-9, 5-2 GLVC) to .047 attacking with 28 kills and 22 errors. The Greyhounds hit .218 with 46 kills.

A 5-0 run by USI turned a one-point deficit into a four-point lead, 11-7, in the first set. The Eagles still led by two, 14-12, when UIndy used a 6-1 run to take control, 18-15, after a kill by Crawford. USI was still within two, 21-19, when a block by Kerrigan and Watkins started a 4-0 run to close the set on an ace by Binkerd, 25-19. Anglemyer had seven kills in 10 swings in the set to pace the offense, while UIndy held USI to -.051 attacking.

Emily Meyer had a trio of aces as her serving paced the Eagles to a 5-0 lead to start the second set and they were still up five, 10-5, when UIndy went on a run. A trio of Kerrigan kills closed UIndy within one, 11-10, when USI called timeout. The Eagles maintained their distance, 17-14, for a while, but UIndy still had a run ready to go. A Watkins kill gave the serve to Kerrigan and she didn't relinquish in until UIndy had completed a 10-0 run on the way to winning the set, 25-18. Again, UIndy held USI to negative attacking, -.021, while it hit .244.

Southern Indiana led by one, 5-4, when the Greyhounds went on a 7-0 run to take early control in the third set with Bruggeman providing the tough serving. USI wouldn't go away and closed within one, 14-13, but then missed a serve and UIndy took advantage to go back up by six, 20-14, after a Bruggeman kill. USI wasn't able to rally again and UIndy closed it out, 25-21, on Meyer's attack error.

Lauren DeShaney led USI with eight kills, while Erin Goldschmidt had 16 digs.

The Greyhounds are back on the road next weekend when they crossover to play the GLVC West Division. UIndy makes the long trip to play William Jewell (6-8, 2-4 GLVC) on Friday and Rockhurst (14-2, 6-1 GLVC) on Saturday.
