Box Score INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy volleyball squad completed its Homecoming weekend with a 3-2 win over Southern Indiana (25-23, 20-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-11).
Tied 1-1, the Greyhounds (9-5, 5-1 GLVC) won a critical third set that proved to be the difference. UIndy trailed 23-20 before rattling off a 6-1 run to steal the set.
Â
"We really dug deep and gutted out those last few points in the third set to get some momentum back on our side," said coach
Jason Reed. "The girls have had their backs against the wall a few times this year and we know we're able to string a few points together, regardless of the score."
Â

The Screaming Eagles (10-4, 4-2 GLVC) were led by Erica Oberbroeckling's 18 kills and setter Jorae Bradbury. Fawn Ryan recorded 15 kills, including five in the fourth set.
Â
"Southern Indiana really put us in some tough situations and served us out of system," said Reed. "It was good for us to find new ways to be successful when we weren't passing well."

Meghan Binkerd dished 60 assists, and
Hailey Brown (17),
