TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The UIndy women's basketball team continued exhibition play at Indiana State University, dropping
61-36 in the Hulman Center.
The Sycamores built a 26-13 lead during the first period, where the Hounds shot just 22 percent from the floor. Second chance opportunities for the Sycamores also fueled the first half lead. ISU grabbed nine offensive boards, compared to three for UIndy.
The Greyhound defense was strong in the first half, holding the Sycamores to 8-28 shooting.
The staunch defense carried over to the second half, as UIndy kept ISU off the scoreboard for nearly five full minutes. Once the Sycamores found the scoreboard, however, they rattled off a 17-5 run to widen the lead. ISU shot nearly 47 percent in the second period.
UIndy struggled with ball security, finishing with 21 turnovers to ISU's nine. The Sycamores had 24 points off of those turnovers. The Hounds also shot just 15 percent from the three-point line (2 of 13). Overall, UIndy shot 29 percent (12 of 42), to ISU's 38 percent (22 of 58).

Katy McIntosh paced the Greyhounds with eight points.
Shelby Wall tallied five points, while
Rose Savela,
Dajana Jovanovic,
Princess German and
Eliza Wortman each had four. Jovanovic also recorded nine rebounds.
Kirsten Gliesmann finished with six boards.
