Greyhounds use strong second half to defeat LMU, 69-46

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The UIndy women's basketball team won its first of two weekday games Monday, 69-46 at Lincoln Memorial.

Katy McIntosh lead the Greyhounds with 17 points, shooting 5-for-7 from the floor and 6-for-8 from the charity stripe.

Carly Lythjohan (11) and Kelly Walter (10) also scored in double digits, and Kirsten Gliesmann paced UIndy with six rebounds.

Midway through the first half the Greyhounds trailed the Railsplitters by seven, but climbed back to take a 37-33 halftime lead. UIndy outscored LMU 32-13 in the second half to seal the victory.

The Greyhounds shot 43 percent compared to 36 for LMU, and out-rebounded the Railsplitters 38-32.

UIndy is in action Wednesday at Trevecca Nazarene at 5:00 p.m.
