Â
The first set started out in Concordia's favor, as they jumped to a 5-1 lead, but UIndy fought back to pull to a 9-9 draw. At 16-16, an attacking error by the Golden Bears gave the Hounds their one and only lead of the set, 17-16. However, CU showed its class by closing out the set, 25-21.
Â
With the second set fairly even out of the gate, CU used five straight kills to open up a 12-4 lead en route to a 25-14 final. Likewise in the third set, the Golden Bears took little time to separate themselves on the scoreboard, finishing on a 15-3 run to take the set and match.
