Football climbs to #15 in coaches poll

WACO, Texas – The UIndy football team moved up three spots in this week's AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 15. The Greyhounds (2-0) made the jump after pulling off a last-second 31-28 win at Wayne State over the weekend.

The Hounds' position in the weekly coaches poll marked their highest national ranking since earning the No. 13 spot in week 11 of 2015. UIndy's highest-ever ranking is 10th, coming in November of 2013.

The top six schools in the poll remained static, with defending-national-champ Northwest Missouri State retaining the No. 1 spot after its 20-14 win at Washburn.

The Greyhounds return home this weekend for the first of three consecutive home games. They'll host defending-co-GLVC-champ Southwest Baptist Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.
