Hounds settle at #12 in final regular season poll

WACO, Texas – The GLVC-champion UIndy football team will enter the playoffs as the No. 12 squad in the nation, according to the final regular season AFCA Division II Coaches Poll. The Greyhounds (9-1) have been ranked in the top 25 for a school-record 24 consecutive weeks dating back to September of 2017.
 
With the announcement of the 2018 postseason field last night, the Hounds locked up the four-seed in the upcoming NCAA DII Super Region Three playoffs and will host fifth-seeded and 19th-ranked Fort Hays State (9-2) Saturday, Nov. 17. Click here for more information.
 
Meanwhile, Minnesota State ended the regular season at No. 1 for the fourth time in the last seven years. Ouachita Baptist, the top seed in Super Region Three, finished at No. 4. Other SR3 teams in the national poll include Ferris State (No. 2), Grand Valley State (7), Northwest Missouri State (18) and Harding (21).
 
The AFCA will release its final poll after the conclusion of the 2018 playoffs in mid December.
