WACO, Texas – Coming off a season-opening loss at top-10 Grand Valley State last week, the UIndy football team dropped to No. 22 in the American Football Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll.
UIndy fell from their No. 13 perch in the preseason poll after falling
30-7 at Grand Valley last Thursday. Nevertheless, the Greyhounds have appeared in the top 25 for 14 consecutive weeks dating back to last September.
Meanwhile, the top seven teams in the poll remained the same, followed by Grand Valley, which moved up two spots to No. 8. Eight of the teams in the top 25 hail from Super Region Three, including five of the top-nine squads.
UIndy hosts in-region Wayne State this weekend in the 2018 home opener. Kickoff is set for Saturday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.
