Toriano Clinton,
Clay Hadley and
Alex Parsons were all named to the 2019 Academic All-District® Football Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The annual release recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Toriano Clinton has been a dual threat for UIndy since setting onto campus last fall. The sophomore is averaging 107 all-purpose yards per game this season and is currently the program's career leader in both rushing average (8.8 yds per carry) and kickoff return average (34.1 yds per att). Clinton, a native of Calumet, Ill., owns a 3.37 GPA in Sport Management.
A three-year starter and two-time All-GLVC First Team honoree,
Clay Hadley is a 3.68 student in Business Administration & Management. The junior team captain leads a group that ranks fifth in the nation in scoring offense, seventh in total offense and 11th in fewest tackles for a loss allowed. Hadley hails from nearby Greenwood, Ind., and Center Grove High School.
Alex Parsons is also a team captain for the Greyhounds. The senior linebacker ranks second in the GLVC with 13.0 tackles for a loss, while overall his defensive unit ranks third in the country in rushing defense. The Crawfordsville, Ind., product sports a 3.61 GPA in Operations & Supply Chain Management.
UIndy's Academic All-District ® honorees will advance to the Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team honorees will be selected next month.
