Hounds Crack Top 15 in Final Regular Season Poll

WACO, Texas – The playoff-bound UIndy football team will enter the postseason as the No. 14 squad in the nation, according to the final regular season AFCA Division II Coaches Poll. The Greyhounds (9-1) have been ranked in the top 25 for a school-record 37 consecutive weeks dating back to September of 2017.

With the announcement of the 2019 postseason field last night, the Hounds locked up a third consecutive trip to the playoffs – a program first. UIndy will travel to fourth-seeded and 15th-ranked Central Missouri for a first-round Super Region Three matchup on Saturday, Nov. 23. Click here for more information.

The top-seeded team in the region, Ferris State, finished the season ranked No. 2 by the nation's coaches. Other SR3 teams in the national poll include Ouachita Baptist (5), Northwest Missouri State (10), Harding (12), Truman (23) and Henderson State (24). SR3 seven-seed Lindenwood is receiving votes.

The AFCA will release its final poll of 2019 after the conclusion of the playoffs in late December.
