ON TAP
After falling on the road last week at Bellarmine and Southern Indiana, the Greyhounds close out their season this weekend against Truman Thursday night before going to Quincy to wrap-up the season Saturday afternoon.

HOUNDS vs. BULLDOGS
UIndy and Truman met in Indianapolis just after the New Year in Nicoson Hall. The Bulldogs, ranked 24th at the time, left Nicoson Hall with a 73-51 win after the Hounds shot only 23% from the field in the game. UIndy only had one starter in double figures in the first meeting when Laura Thomas led the Greyhounds with 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting. UIndy struggled to get going from deep in the game going 4-for-17 from beyond the arc, the Hounds also struggled to get to the line, only shooting seven free throws.

ABOUT TRUMAN
The Bulldogs enter Thursday's game having already locked up their spot in the GLVC tournament for next week. Truman has won two straight games and three of the last four with their loss coming at the hands of William Jewell in Liberty, Mo. The Bulldogs took care of business last week when they fended off Rockhurst's 26-point fourth quarter to come away with a 74-66 win in Kansas City and follow up that win with a win in Quincy where they shot over 50% from the field in a 23-point win over the Hawks.

Truman does not have a single player in the top-15 in scoring in the conference, but does have three players averaging over 11 points per game this season. Their leader in scoring, Sloane Totta, is currently averaging 11.5 points per game on the year while shooting almost 40% from the field and 34% from beyond the arc. Freshman Maddie Re has come off the bench most of the season for Truman and has been a solid on the boards all season, averaging over seven rebounds per game this season. Re has logged give double-doubles on the season, including a game where she pulled down a season-high 16 boards to go along with her 11 points.

HOUNDS vs. HAWKS
UIndy hosted Quincy in Nicoson Hall on January 3rd, a game where the Greyhounds led by six at half and eight heading into the final period of play. The Hawks stormed back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Hounds 17-9 to force overtime and then holding UIndy to 15% from the field in overtime to win 67-59. UIndy is looking to split the season series with the Hawks as the Hounds have not lost to Quincy twice in the same season since the 2008-09 season.

ABOUT QUINCY
The Hawks come into this weekend series against Lewis and UIndy on an eight-game losing streak with their last win coming against Missouri-St. Louis in mid-January. Just before their last win, the Hawks were on a four-game skid with their last win coming against UIndy. The Hawks own the same GLVC record as the Hounds do, but sit behind the Greyhounds in conference standings in terms of the GLVC's point rating system.

Quincy has one scorer in the top-15 in the GLVC in Maddie Spagnola, the 5-3 junior averages over 12 points per game this season and is one of three Hawks shooting over 40% from the field on the year. While UIndy has been one of the top rebounding teams throughout the course of the year, Quincy has struggled on the boards as they sit 11th in the GLVC in rebounding. The Hawks rebounding margin currently sits at -1.1 boards per game and rebounding battles have been all over the place this year. Quincy's best rebounding margin this year came against Illinois Springfield where they grabbed 51 boards to UIS' 29 and their worst rebounding margin came against Lindenwood when the Lions out-rebounded the Hawks 48 to 27.

THREE HEADED SCORING MONSTER
Taylor Drury, Laura Thomas, and Emma Benoit all rank top 12 in the GLVC in points per game this season. Thomas ranks 8th with 14.4 PPG, Drury checks in at 10th in the conference at 13.8 points per game, and Benoit's 13.2 PPG is good for 12th in the league.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Emma Benoit has been a force down low for the Hounds this year. The Northern Michigan transfer has recorded seven double-doubles this season for UIndy. Benoit's most recent double-double came two weeks win over UMSL, placing her in a tie for 8th most double-doubles in a season in program history.

ALL FOR CHARITY
UIndy ranks fifth in the GLVC in free-throw percentage, making 74.4% of their attempts so far this season. This season's 74.4% is up over 1% from last year when UIndy shot 73.3% from the foul line. UIndy's 74.4% is also one of the best in DII, ranking in the top-50 in the country. Junior Laura Thomas is the lone Greyhound inside the top-15 of the conference in free-throw percentage, Thomas ranks eighth at 83.3% (minimum two made free throws per game).

CHALLENGING ENDS
UIndy has struggled at the end of the regular season in the past couple seasons. The Hounds have only finished the regular season with a pair of wins once in the last four seasons, coming in 2015-16 when they beat Parkside and Saint Joseph's to close out the regular season before moving onto the GLVC Tournament.

LATE SEASON EXPERIENCE
UIndy freshman Mya Scheidt has been inactive most of this season, seeing time in only four games before last weekend. The Crown Point product appeared in both games last week against Bellarmine and Southern Indiana, including crunch time in the loss to USI. Scheidt's playing time as of late could be a preview of what to see next season for the Greyhounds when she enters her sophomore season.

RE-WRITING THE RECORD BOOKS
Two records have been broken so far this season, one being an individual record and the other a team record with the team record has been broken twice this season. The team had broken a previous record of most points scored in a period against Tiffin before breaking it again against Oakland City on December 8th when they put up 36 points against the Might Oaks in the first quarter. The only record to fall came last month when Emma Benoit broke an 11-year old program record for most free throws in a game without missing. Benoit's 15-for-15 game from the stripe against Rockhurst beat out Samantha Meissel's 13-for-13 performance she had against Southern Indiana in 2008.

CLEANING UP THE GLASS
UIndy has made a huge leap in rebounding this season compared to last year. Last year the Hounds rebounding margin was a -3.5 on the season. The Greyhounds won the rebounding battle last Thursday against Bellarmine and tied in rebounds against USI, bringing their rebounding margin on the year to +2.2. Emma Benoit is the Greyhounds leader when it comes to rebounding, she currently sits in 9th place in the GLVC in rebounding, pulling down over seven rebounds per game.
