INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy volleyball team kicked off the 2019 season with three wins last weekend on the campus of Cedarville University, knocking off Anderson before earning a pair of in-region victories against Northwood and the host Yellow Jackets.
 
Head coach Jason Reed will welcome in seven other programs this weekend to Ruth Lilly Fitness Center and Nicoson Hall for a two-day, 16-match event for the fifth-annual UIndy Invitational. Fellow GLVC member Illinois Springfield will make its first trip to the Circle City this coming weekend, with Midwest region squads Davenport, Northern Michigan and Saginaw Valley also making the trek south.
 
Nationally-recognized Gannon and Saint Leo, along with Minnesota State Moorhead will also visit Indianapolis, with the Greyhounds set to kick off the invite with Saint Leo at 10 a.m. on Friday.
 
UIndy will also take on Davenport and Saginaw Valley on Saturday to finish the weekend with two regional contests.
