INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy football student-athlete
Toriano Clinton was dubbed the Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Greyhounds to a 48-21 win versus Hillsdale over the weekend.
Â
Clinton earned his fourth career GLVC weekly award after racking up a game-high 172 rushing yards on just 12 carries (14.3 yards per) against the visiting Chargers. The Calumet, Ill., product did a large chuck of his damage on a 76-yard TD run late in the third quarter to all but put the game out of reach. He also added 28 kickoff return yards to finish with an even 200 all-purpose yards on the night.
Â
Clinton is the third Greyhound to garner recognition from the GLVC already this season, as teammates
TJ Edwards (offensive) and
Alex Parsons (defensive) were two of the league's three top performers in week one.
