INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy football program did some shuffling to its 2020 schedule recently, replacing both its week-one and week-11 opponents. The Greyhounds will now open at home versus Ohio Dominican University on Thursday, Sept. 3, and will later wrap up the regular season at Kentucky Wesleyan College on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Â
The need came about after the NCAA DII Presidents Council lowered the maximum number of games in 2020 to 10 in an effort to help ease financial impacts from COVID-19. With schools needing to comply with the mandate, two openings in the Greyhounds' schedule manifested shortly thereafter, with non-conference opponents Ashland and Lake Erie both opting out.

The two G-MAC schools filled the holes in week 1 and week 11, respectively, keeping the Hounds' 2020 slate at 10 games overall and four at Key Stadium. Additionally, the start time to the Hounds' week-10 matchup with William Jewell has been moved to 1 p.m. ET.
