ROME, Ga. – The University of Indianapolis women's Tennis team has wrapped up their trip to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's cup this weekend, with ITA Regional Champion,
Bella Dunlap and
Anna Novikova competing over the course of the weekend.
On the doubles side, Dunlap and Novikova fell in the round of 16 to a pair of Barry University athletes, 0-6, 7-6(8), and 10-5.
On the singles side, Dunlap who held the 13 seed fell in the first round to Maria Garcia of St. Mary's, 6-4, 4-6, and 6-2. While, number four ranked, Novikova worked her way to the Quarterfinals after defeating Indiana University (PA), Karolin Kirchtag, 6-1 and then 6-2. Novikova then fell to Carson-Newman's Anan Carla Resende, 6-4 and 6-1.
The Greyhounds will be back in action on January 22 when they will host Miami (OH) at 2:30 p.m. ET.
