HOW THEY GOT HERE
Fort Hays State has continued to stay alive in the NCAA Tournament by corralling a pair of quality wins over Super Region 3 opponents. In the second round, the Tigers traveled into enemy territory and knocked off No. 3 seed Wisconsin-Parkside 2-1 after a game-winning goal was sent into the net in the 77th minute. FHSU went forward and pulled off an improbable 3-2 victory in double overtime over No. 2 seed Lake Erie in the third round despite trailing 2-0 at halftime.
As for UIndy, the Hounds have dominated so far in tournament action in 2021. Combining both the GLVC and NCAA Tournaments, the team has managed three shutout victories and have outscored opponents by a 13-3 mark on the pitch.
WHAT'S ON THE LINE
The winner will move on to the national semifinals which is set to be played at Switchbacks FC Stadium in Colorado Springs, CO on Thursday, Dec. 9. From there, the national championship match will be played on Saturday, Dec. 11.
