AUSTIN, Texas – UIndy men's soccer's
Joey Longo was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America NCAA Division II Second-Team, CSC announced Tuesday.
The 2025 Academic All-America men's soccer teams are selected by College Sports Communicators, and recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both inside and outside the classroom.
On the field, the junior midfielder added to his collection of accolades for his 2025 campaign with a
second team All-Midwest Region honors last week, along with
first-team All-GLVC honors, the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, and
CSC Academic All-District honors. Longo combined for nine points this season, with three goals and three assists, including a three point performance against
Rockhurst, a goal and an assist.
Longo has continued to excel both on and off the field, carrying a 4.0 grade-point average, and is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in physics.
This is the second consecutive year the Greyhounds have had a player honored on the CSC Academic All-America list, with
August Abrahamsen being recognized on
last season's Academic All-America Third-Team.
