AUSTIN, Texas – UIndy men's soccer's August Abrahamsen was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America NCAA Division II Third Team, CSC announced Tuesday morning.

The 2024 Academic All-America men's soccer teams are selected by College Sports Communicators, and recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both inside and outside the classroom.

Abrahamsen, a junior midfielder from Sandefjord, Norway was fourth on the team with six points, two goals and two assists. He also scored one game-winning goal that lifted the Hounds to a 2-1 victory over Rockhurst. He made an appearance in all 18 games for the Greyhounds, including 12 starts. He was also selected as a GLVC player of the week for his performances against Rockhurst and William Jewell. Abrahamsen has continued to excel both on and off the field, carrying a 4.0 grade-point average. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in finance.
