KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced recently its 2021 NCAA Division II Regional Staff of the Year recipients, with the UIndy head coach John Higgins and Co. earned the nod for the Midwest Region.
 
Higgins, along with assistant coaches Rob Coonfield and Gabe Hall, guided the Greyhounds to their second consecutive regional championship and national semifinal appearance. Along the way, UIndy racked up a program-record 18 wins (to date) as well as GLVC regular season and tournament titles.
 
UIndy leads the nation in shots per game at nearly 19 per, while ranking seventh in both shutout percentage (.524) and total goal differential (+39).
