Box Score INDIANAPOLIS – The #15 University of Indianapolis Men's Lacrosse team dominated from out of the gate on Saturday, posting a 17-4 win over Quincy in GLVC action. Thirteen Hounds found the back of the net, setting a program record for most goal scorers in a single game.
INS & OUTS
UIndy put their foot on the gas early, tallying six goals in the first frame including a pair from Andrew Simonich. Matt Schoeneck netted a pair less than two minutes apart in the second as the Hounds took a 10-0 lead to halftime.
A strong defensive effort held the Hawks to just five shots in the first half, three of which were saved by goalkeeper Austin Barnett.
Sam Artfsten kept things rolling for the Hounds, scoring less than one minute into the second half. Wyatt Auyer, Mike Doyle and Brayden Walker went on to score in the third as well.
UIndy outshot the Hawks 48-23 on the day while going 16-17 on clean attempts. The Hounds grabbed 37 ground balls to Quincy's 15 while forcing 21 Quincy turnovers.
Simonich, Schoeneck, Doyle and Drew Billig each scored two goals while Auyer, Arfsten, Walker, Aidan Solomon, Owain Braddock, Tanner Tracy, Nick Randgaard, Trevor Legaard, and Connor O'Brien each recorded one.
Doyle, Simonich, Auyer, Braddock, Arfsten, O'Brien and Dylan Day each picked up an assist.
Barnett picked up his fourth win of the season in net, making three saves and holding Quincy scoreless in 30 minutes of action. Sam Ripple allowed one goal in 15 minutes while Josh Gamble made five saves and three goals in the final 15 minutes.

- The 17 goals is tied for sixth in the UIndy record books for most goals in a single game. The most is 27 that came against Shorter in the 2019 season.
- 13 different goal scorers set a program record for most goal scorers in a single game. The previous was 11 against Wheeling Jesuit in the 2019 season opener.
