BALTIMORE — University of Indianapolis sophomore, Alec Score, received United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) South Region Second-Team Defense honors, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.
Three Hounds join Score as All-Region honorees with Mitchell Carik, Tyler Bernarduci and Mike Rettberg named to the honorable mention list.
Score was one of four to earn Second Team Defense honors after a stellar sophomore season. The Plymouth, Minn. native set two program records in the 2026 season, breaking the single-game caused turnovers record with eight against 12th-ranked Newberry in February. He also raked in 39 caused turnovers throughout the season, setting a new single-season record for the Hounds. Score had three USILA Team of the Week appearances and earned USA Lacrosse Magazine's honorable mention honors.
Bernarduci scooped up 35 ground balls for his squad while also contributing 17 caused turnovers. Carik earned All-Region honorable mention long stick midfielder for the second season in a row, scooping up 64 ground balls. Rettberg totaled 19 goals on the season, with four games with at least two goals.
