UIndy Teams Appear in Multiple NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – With both the Greyhound men's and women's golf teams already earning postseason berths, the University of Indianapolis spring sports continue to receive recognition for their successes thus far this season, with a number of Greyhound programs appearing in multiple NCAA regional rankings, all released Wednesday. The UIndy teams in the mix for a postseason spots include men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis and women's tennis.
 
MEN'S LACROSSE | complete regional rankings
Coming off its big win versus then-ninth-ranked Lindenwood last weekend, the Greyhounds are among seven South Region teams under consideration* for five slots at the upcoming NCAA DII Men's Lacrosse Championship. The bracket will be announced Sunday, May 9, with first-round action starting May 14 in Hickory, N.C.
 
WOMEN'S LACROSSE | complete regional rankings
The women's LAX team is vying for one of just three Midwest Region spots this season. The Hounds sport a 12-1 overall record, earning the two seed in this weekend's GLVC Championship Tournament. The NCAA DII Championship field will be released Sunday, May 9, with Midwest Region play starting May 14 in St. Charles, Mo.
 
SOFTBALL | complete regional rankings
The Greyhounds are racking up wins at an impressive rate in 2021, as their 34-3 (.919) record is good for the second-best winning percentage in the nation. Just six Midwest teams will qualify for NCAA postseason play this season, with the Hounds securely in the conversation. The Championship bracket will be announced on Sunday, May 16, with play starting on the following Wednesday, May 19 in Allendale, Mich.
 
MEN'S TENNIS | complete regional rankings
With the regional play nearing, the NCAA released traditional regional rankings for tennis. The Hounds topped the list of seven Midwest school in the mix. Following the GLVC Championship Tournament this weekend, the Championship field will be released this Tuesday, May 4. The Midwest draw will commence Saturday, May 8 in Midland, Mich.
 
WOMEN'S TENNIS | complete regional rankings
Like the UIndy men, the undefeated Greyhound women's tennis team also came in at No. 1 in the Midwest. They too will solidify their postseason plans on this coming Tuesday, and will also start their Midwest Regional on Saturday, May 8 in Midland, Mich.
