INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy student-athletes Lauren Bailey and Ben Nagel are competing at the 2021 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships, set for May 27-29 in Allendale, Mich. Bailey will run in Thursday night's 10,000-meter final while Nagel's 800-meter preliminaries start Friday afternoon.

The 2020-21 national champion in the indoor 5K, Bailey is making her second appearance at outdoor nationals and first in the 10,000 meters. She recently posted a school-record time of 33:53.16, good for fourth in Division II. The women's 10K final is scheduled for Thursday, May 27 at 7:55 p.m.
 
Meanwhile, Nagel is a first-time national qualifier at outdoors. He too owns the school record in his event, with his 800 time of 1:49.95 ranking him 12th in DII. The men's 800 prelims are slated for Friday, May 28 at 3:05 p.m., while the finals are set for Saturday at 2:40 p.m.
