INDIANAPOLIS - The No. 4-ranked University of Indianapolis men's soccer team is set to begin the 2021 campaign this weekend in Columbus, Ohio. The Greyhounds will begin the year with a battle against Ohio Dominican at 3:30 p.m. on Friday followed by a matchup with Ashland on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Coming off the most successful campaign in school history, UIndy is set to bring back nine all-GLVC selections from the team that corralled a strong 13-0-4 record in a shortened 2020-21 season. Head coach
John Higgins, who enters his 12th season at the helm of the program, brings back the powerful duo of
Alejandro Steinwascher, who was crowned the 2020-21 GLVC Offensive Player of the Year, and
Makel Rasheed, who was tabbed as the 2020-21 GLVC Defensive Player of the Year.
