CLEVELAND – The Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced its 2020-21 Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners Wednesday, with former UIndy softball standout Hallie Waters earning top honors for the Midwest Region.
 
A May 2021 graduate of UIndy, Waters personified the term student-athlete in her four years in the Crimson & Grey. The Boonville, Ind., native was a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-America® honoree before graduating with 3.99 GPA as a Biology and Psychology major. She was named All-America Third Team and Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year this past spring, while also becoming a two-time GLVC Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year recipient and the 2021 GLVC Paragon Award winner.
