HAMMOND, Ind. - The UIndy volleyball team visits the Hammond Sportsplex for the second straight season, competing in the 14th annual Midwest Region Crossover on Oct. 14-15. The Greyhounds, the sixth-ranked team from the GLVC, will battle Ashland and Michigan Tech on Friday before a to-be-determined opponent on Saturday.
The crossover tournament features 36 Midwest volleyball programs that compete in NCAA Division II, including 13 from each of the GLVC and G-MAC, as well as 10 from the GLIAC. The largest volleyball tournament in the country, this weekend's event guarantees three matches for each program with six courts being utilized simultaneously.Â
UIndy squares off with Ashland at the Crossover for the second time in the past four seasons, while the Greyhounds are set to face Ashland for the first time since 2017. The matchups for Saturday will be determined based on Friday's results and announced as soon as possible.
