INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis men's soccer team landed in the No. 5 spot of the second edition of the NCAA's regional rankings, officials at the national office announced on Wednesday. For the third straight season, the men's soccer national tournament will feature four super regions of 10 teams apiece, totaling 40 programs competing for a national title.
 
UIndy is one of five teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) in the rankings. Maryville leads the conference at No. 4 while Drury, Lewis, and Illinois Springfield sit in sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.

The Hounds are set to open the GLVC Championship Tournament on Sunday with a quarterfinal battle with Rockhurst at Key Stadium. Opening kick is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.
