INDIANAPOLIS – The time has finally arrived for the University of Indianapolis cross country teams to hit the road and travel to Elsah, Ill., to compete in the 2022 GLVC Championships held at the Principia Cross Country Course. The men will run first on Saturday with a start time of 11:30 a.m. ET while the women will follow at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Â
The Hounds will enter the conference championships this weekend after completing a strong meet in Huntsville, Ala., in their last outing on Oct. 22. In total, six of the eight runners on the women's side left Alabama with a new personal record while nine on the men's side collected new PR's.
Â
Last season, both programs finished fifth out of 14 competing teams at the GLVC Championships. Key returners include
AJ Goecker on the men's side who corralled All-GLVC honors last season with his 15th place finish, and
Melissa Spencer on the women's side who ended in 24th place at last seasons conference championships to finish second on the team.
