LONG BEACH, Calif. – The University of Indianapolis women's tennis team concluded it's spring break trip with a win over Long Beach State, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon in the Rhodes Tennis Center in Long Beach.
The Hounds jumped out early with a 6-3 doubles win by
Maissane Aik and Maria Solnyskina who were the first to finish, while
Isabella Dunlap and
Sofia Sharonova secured the Hounds duo point with a 6-4 win.
Anna Novikova and
Arina Amaning did not finish their match.
In singles, Amaning was the first to take the point with a 6-3, 6-2 win. Followed by Novikova in the No. 2 spot who won 6-4, 6-3. Finally it was
Maria Solnyshkina who would secure the Greyhounds win.
Kristina Lagoda also won a close singles match, 5-7,6-2, and 6-2.
Isabella Dunlap and
Maissane Aik both faced losses in the solo matches.

The Hounds will return home and kick off conference play as they face off over Lewis on Saturday April 2 at 11 a.m. ET.
