INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis men's and women's tennis teams have both earned the honor of being named the Great Lakes Valley Regular Season Champions and receiving the No. 1 seed for the upcoming GLVC Championship Tournament which will be held at Maryville University.
ON THE MENS SIDE
Earning a historic eighth straight Great Lakes Valley title, bringing its total to a conference best 12, the Hounds show their dominance within the conference in sweeps and depth within their roster.
Currently ranked 11 in the nation, the Hounds are on a seven-match win streak. With having four singles players ranked, and the duo of
Zac Faveri and
Tom Zeuch holding in the top five in doubles, the Greyhounds are ready to roll into the post season.
The men face off against Rockhurst at 10 ET at Maryville University on Friday, April 29.
ON THE WOMENS SIDE
Along with the men the women's team earns their twelfth straight crown, including taking back-to-back titles in the last five seasons. The Hounds have won eight straight matches.
Currently ranked No. 15 in the nation, the Hounds are led by one position player, and No. 21 ranked
Anna Novikova and No. 14 ranked
Isabella Dunlap who have shined on the singles court in bringing consistency and energy to the Greyhounds squad.

"We are excited to play for another shot at the titles this weekend," Said Head Coach
Malik Tabet. "Our men's team is eagar to redeem themselves from last year. They are so looking forward to this weekend. Our women's team is also looking forward to a great competition and to another shot at repeating."
TO THE POST SEASON
Both the men's and women's squads have earned undefeated conference records in the 2021-22 campaign and will both face against No. 4 Rockhurst to kick off the championship tournament. The championship matches will be played on Sunday, May 1.
