Box Score ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – There was no better way for the Greyhounds to celebrate senior, Anna Novikova's birthday, than sharing cake together after they advanced to the Round of Eight after defeating 14 seeded, Wilmington, 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon on the Sanlando Park Courts.
 
The Greyhounds reach one step closer to their goal with the win and will notch their thirteenth straight win and twentieth overall.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds would take the first point in doubles, with 2022 newcomer duo, Miassane Aik and Arina Amaning taking the first win in a 6-1 win. Followed by the birthday girl, Novikova, and Maria Solnyskina defeating No. 36 ranked doubles duo, Jess Purdy and Neus Moreno 6-2.
 
Isabella Dunlap and Sofia Sharonova's match went unfinished.
 
In singles, No. 53 ranked Lea Cakarevic would take the first win, allowing just one point in taking a 6-0, 6-1 match. Then it was two quick back-to-back wins with No.17 Dunlap taking her win in 6-2, 6-0 set. It would be graduate student and GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship winner Kristina Lagoda who would clinch the match in a 6-1, 6-3 set.
 
ADDITIONS
-The Hounds would allow only 10 points in finished matches across both singles and doubles.
-Anna Novikova, Miassane Aik, and Arina Amaning would all go unfinished in singles.
