INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis volleyball team announced its 2022 schedule on Thursday, highlighted by a pair of home tournaments to open the season.

"We're pumped to get our schedule out and look forward to playing great competition prior to the GLVC schedule" commented head coach Jason Reed.  "This year will be a little different with playing a single round robin in conference.  We know the importance of each match and will look to prepare for that grind with a healthy line up of opponents from in and out of region."

The first match of the season will take place inside the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center on Friday, August 26.  The Hounds will host the Indianapolis Tournament on August 26-27 where they'll welcome Montevallo, Anderson and Findlay to town.

The following weekend, September 2-3, will be the UIndy Tournament where the Hounds will face Ohio Dominican, Bentley, Minnesota State Mankato and Minnesota Duluth.

Great Lakes Valley Conference action kicks off on September 16 when UIndy travels to Lebanon, IL to take on McKendree.  Their first GLVC match at home will be against Lewis on September 23.

The Hounds have one bye on the final weekend of the regular season on Friday night before their final match at Maryville on Saturday, November 5.

Postseason play is set for November 11-13 in East Peoria, IL for the 2022 GLVC Championship tournament.  The Midwest Regional will take place November 17-19 on a campus site to be determined.  The 2022 Elite Eight will be December 1-3 hosted by Seattle Pacific in Seattle, WA.
