Tselios Headlines United Soccer Coaches All-Region Selections

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches released their selections for the All-Region Teams on Wednesday. Four Greyhounds were honored in the Midwest Region selections. Michael Tselios and Pierre Lurot were named to the First Team, while Kieran Brown and Bobby Turner were honored on the Third Team.

Tselios finished with four goals and led the team in assists with seven. His last-second goal against Truman in the GLVC Tournament Quarterfinals allowed the Greyhounds to advance to the Semifinals. With 57 shots, 19 on goal, the senior from Athens, Greece also led the Hounds in these categories. In addition to this honor, the senior was named to the All-GLVC First Team, the CSC DII Academic All-District Team, and the DII CCA All-Region Second Team.

Lurot was a standout in the backfield for UIndy. This is the fifth accolade that the junior from Bourges, France has garnered this year. The French native was named to the All-GLVC First Team, the GLVC All-Tournament Team, the CSC DII Academic All-District Team, and the DII CCA All-Region Second Team. Earlier in the season, Lurot was also named GLVC Player of the Week on Sept. 2. The junior is a staple on the UIndy backline, starting in all 20 matches for the Greyhounds while only coming off the field for nine minutes the whole season. He currently has one goal, two assists, and 17 shots this season.

Brown started in goal in all 21 contests for UIndy. The graduate student from Kettering, Australia was instrumental in the Greyhounds GLVC Tournament win with the Semifinals and Finals ending in penalty kicks. For his performance, Brown was named to the GLVC All-Tournament team and the United Soccer Coaches National DII Player of the Week on Nov. 16. Brown finished the season with 12 shutouts, and 47 saves with a save percentage of 0.797 after only allowing in 12 goals.

The last Greyhound to be honored was Bobby Turner on the Third Team. The junior from Liverpool, England was the leading scorer for the Hounds with five. Turner had the sole goal in UIndy's win over Lake Erie in the NCAA Tournament Second Round. The junior was also selected to the ALL-GLVC Third Team, the GLVC All-Tournament Team, and the CSC Academic All-Region Team.
