INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis indoor track & field teams honored a handful of seniors and hosted the Jerry England Invitational in the ARC on Saturday afternoon. The teams also sent student-athletes up to the GVSU Big Meet on Friday and Saturday.

GVSU BIG MEET
Some student-athletes made their way up to Allendale, Mich., to compete in the highly competitive GVSU Big Meet on Friday & Saturday on the campus of Grand Valley State University. The meet featured competitors from NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA institutions.

The big headlining acts for UIndy came from
Ellie Lengerich in the women's high jump and
Abdelouakil Mustapha in the men's 800 meters. Against a field consisting of mostly DI athletes, Lengerich walked away with the victory after she leapt over the bar at 1.68m which earned her a provisional mark. As for Mustapha, he also faced a strong field and ended in third place after racing around the track at 1:51.69 which also earned him a provo.

Other notable finishes saw
Melissa Spencer notch her new indoor personal record of 10:08.24 in the women's 3000m. The men saw
Josiah Adams in the 400m (49.41)
Harnoor Dosanjh in the 800m (1:54.93), and
Nico Barrett in the 5000m (15:36.98) also log new indoor PR's.

Saturday was Senior Day in the ARC as the Hounds honored

Blake Ellis,

Keeton Adams,
AJ Goecker,
Jordan Parkinson,
Hanna Stamm, and
Brittney Clark.

The No. 18-ranked women's team saw four top finishes on Saturday.
Zoe Pentecost tossed the winning mark and hit a provo of 18.46m in the weight throw while
Rebekah Mappes won the long jump at 5.12m.
Ailliyah Reese also earned a provo and the top time in the 60m hurdles (8.84) while
Hallie Montgomery beat the field in the 200m (25.84).

Other notable finishes for the women saw
Joanna Fields collect the runner-up spot in the long jump at 5.11m. The duo of Clark and
Sabrina Robison each tied for second in the pole vault with provos (3.83m) while
Lindsey Wormuth (60m hurdles, 9.37)
Kaylin Casner (800m, 2:25.06), and the 4x400m relay team (4:31.24) all ended in the No. 2 spots in their respective events as well.

Over on the men's side, the Hounds collected seven top finishes at the ARC. Adams stepped up and swept the top marks in both the weight throw (16.54m) and the shot put (provo at 17.30m) while
Cade Priddy cleared 4.75m in the pole vault to win with a provo and a new indoor PR.
Ndubisi Eze won the 60m hurdles (8.39) while
Logan Wong (mile, new indoor PR of 4:24.74),
Alexander Brown-Baez (400m, 52.12), and the 4x400m relay "A" squad (3:43.37) all won their events as well.

Treyton Arnold (pole vault, 4.60m), Eze (high jump, 1.93m),
DeAndre Stroud (60m hurdles, 8.79),
Evan Stonitsch (400m, 52.70), and the 4x400m relay "C" squad (3:54.64) all end in second place in their events.
