HOUND BYTES
Assistant head coach Brad Robinson discusses Pentecost ahead of the weight throw on Friday…
"Zoe has been really consistent for us all season, she knows how to manage and listen to her body really well to keep herself healthy. With her being an All-American last season, I'm really looking to see her lean upon that experience and help catapult herself up a little further onto the podium this year."
Robinson discusses Robison and Clark ahead of the women's pole vault on Friday…
"Brittney [Clark] is our veteran, this is her fourth time competing at an indoor national championship in the pole vault while this is the first time at nationals for Sabrina [Robison]. Both of them are fierce competitors and I think having each other there will calm them and allow them to be in a good spot to at least make the podium. "
Robinson discusses Lengerich ahead of the pentathlon on Saturday…
"It's pretty easy to say that Ellie is the best all-around athlete on our team at this moment in time. When you're able to break your own school record and then the conference championship record in the pentathlon, you're doing something pretty special. Being someone that likes to compete, I think it's only going to work in her favor going up against such high talent."
Robinson discusses Arnold ahead of the men's pole vault on Saturday…
"Treyton is looking forward to having fun and making the most of it while trying to be as clean as possible on his first couple of attempts so he can have a chance at making the podium. When you get to nationals, it really doesn't matter where anyone is ranked because you have to show up ready to compete on the day of. Overall, I think Treyton is really excited and I think that energy will pay off in a good way for him."
