MUNCIE, Ind. – The UIndy outdoor track & field teams returned to action on Friday and Saturday and battled the field at the We Fly Challenge hosted by Ball State University at University Track at Briner Sports Complex. The competition featured a mix of NCAA Division I & II schools alongside a handful of NAIA members.

WOMEN'S RECAP
The women's team brought home a pair of first-place finishes as
Brittney Clark and
Brianna Lawson each won their respective events. In the pole vault, Clark cleared 4.00 meters to earn a provisional mark and the top height in the event while Lawson paced herself to a victory in the 5,000-meter run at 18:35.21.

Along with the marks above, the Hounds ended up corralling three second-place finishes in Muncie.
Zoe Pentecost was the runner-up in the hammer throw with a provo and a new outdoor personal record of 57.21 meters.
Ellie Lengerich was also the runner-up and collected a pair of new outdoor PR's in both the javelin (31.64 meters) and high jump (1.67 meters).

MEN'S RECAP
Over on the men's side, UIndy brought home three first-place finishes as two came in the field while one was on the track. The dominate field duo of
Treyton Arnold and
Keeton Adams each won their respective events with a pair of provo marks in the process. Adams earned victory in the shot put with a new outdoor PR of 17.23 meters while Arnold leapt his way to a winning mark in the pole vault at 4.85 meters.
AJ Goecker joined them as he collected first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:37.10).

The men's team also had a handful of close finishes at Ball State.
Josiah Adams was the runner-up and collected a new outdoor PR in the 400-meter run (48.51). The trio of
Ndubisi Eze (high jump, 1.97 meters),
Dylan Mayhew (shot put, new outdoor PR of 15.77 meters), and
Cade Priddy (pole vault, 4.50 meters) all notched third in their respective events.
