INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis freshman Maria Fiacan has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Week in women's tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

• Helped UIndy to two shutout wins, including 4-0 win over Division I foe IUPUI
• Recorded singles wins over IUPUI's Sofia Castillo (6-2, 6-1) and MCK's Mariana Mora (6-4, 6-1)
• Partnered with Margarita Andreiuk for doubles win over IUPUI's Grace Lampan/Castillo (6-0)
• Earns first career Player of the Week Award
