INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy outdoor track & field teams split forces on Friday and Saturday for a pair of early season meets. A majority of the team went to the Warrior Open hosted by Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Friday while a small portion on the squad went down to the Flames Invitational hosted by Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.

FLAMES INVITATIONAL
A total of five student-athletes hit the track in Tennessee, four of which competed on Friday. The top finisher for the men on Friday for UIndy was
Lucas Liard, who collected 20th and a provisional mark in the 10,000-meter run (30:28.37).
Alexandre Rio rounded out action for the men on the first day with a 22nd place finish in the 5,000-meter run at 14:46.22.

Over on the women's side, the duo of
Mariah Davis and
Gabrielle Harrell took the track in the 10,000-meter run. Davis notched 32nd in the race (38:32.51) while Harrell took 46th (41:08.63).

Finally,
Tom Saint-Juvin was the lone Greyhound to compete on the men's side on Friday which saw him notch a third-place finish in the 800-meter run (1:53.60).

WARRIOR OPEN
Beginning on the women's side, the Hounds brought home five top finishes, three of which came in the field while two came on the track.

In the field,
Sabrina Robison managed an outdoor personal record and hit a provo after she cleared 4.00 meters to win the women's pole vault. Close behind,
Brittney Clark (2nd, provo of 3.90 meters) and
Mackenzie VanBibber (3rd, 3.35 meters) trailed their teammate in the event. Over in the women's hammer throw,
Zoe Pentecost launched a throw of 54.16 meters which earned her a first-place finish and a provo.
Emily Bonser was close behind in second (48.08 meters). Finally, Joana Fields leapt her way to the top mark in the long jump at 5.48 meters.

On the track,
Ailliyah Reese stepped up in the women's 100-meter hurdles and logged a winning time of 14.85. In the women's 3000-meter steeplechase,
Hannah Wells brought home the top time of 12:02.80.

Moving over to the men's side of competition, UIndy corralled five first-place marks with three coming on the track and two in the field.

Starting on the track,
Josiah Adams claimed victory in the men's 400-meter run with a winning time of 49.78. In the men's 400-meter hurdles,
Aaron Moody beat the field and crossed the finish line in a winning time of 55.81. Finally,
Andrew Bixler was the top finisher in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase at 10:13.77.

In the field events, the strong Greyhound duo of
Treyton Arnold and
Keeton Adams brought home top marks in their respective events. Arnold earned the victory in the men's pole vault after he cleared a provo mark of 4.90 meters while Adams won the men's shot put after he launched a provo toss of 16.80 meters.
